Local Village Festas . Given the Maltese Passion for Festas and pagentry, it is not surprising that almost every parish celebrates the feast day of its local patron saint. These festivities last several days and consist of colourfull parades accompanied by brass bands and spectacular fireworks displays. The final day of each festa sees the life size statue of the patron saint carried out of the church and through the village streets.
