Scuba Diving Malta offers scuba diving conditions and instruction which match the best in the world. Many water sport centers and diving schools give lessons and hire diving equipment. Diving in Malta and Gozo is easy. At most sites you can drive virtually to the waters edge. Kit up and jump into clear, warm, azure sea. The bottom shelves down in steps
to reach 25 to 30 meters within a 5 minuite swim offering a choice of diving depths to suit each level of ability.

Malta, Gozo and Comino offer excellent Snorkeling locations around the islands. The coastlines are indented with the cleanest and bluest in the Mediterranean. In Summer it is

Sailing regattas are held regularly between April and November. These include the Comino regatta in June, the Malta -Syracuse race for keelboats in July and the Rimini -Malta Yacht race in August. Good Facilities for the hire of boats and yachts exist throughout the island. The Yacht marina in Ta Xbiex is well established for stern to quay
accommodation. You may also opt to Charter a yacht for a day, half day or even 2 days.

Fishing. Besides being a profession for lots of Maltese and Gozitan visitors, fishing is also a popular sport. You will notice their discreet presence in rocky bays and fishing villages. Some fish from land , whilst others take a luzzu boat out to sea.

Biking, Hiking and Country Walks. Imagine an island protected by dramatic sea cliffs punctuated by sandy bays! No specialized hiking equipment is needed for Malta and Gozo. A pair of good strong shoes will suffice.
Casinos
There are 2 Casinos in Malta- Dragonara Casino in St. Julians and the Oracle Casino in Bugibba. Both Casinos have their own Restaurant and dining facilities. Dress code is casual during the day and Casual Smart in the evenings.
Golf: The Marsa sports Club has some of the best general sporting facilities on the island. This sports center is about 4 km south of Valletta and lists among its numerous features, an 18 hole golf course, a cricket pitch, 18 tennis courts 5 squash courts , a mini golf and a swimming pool. Tourists can join the club on a weekly basis whilst on holiday in Malta.. In the vicinity of the club are a
horseracing track, polo grounds a football ground, and rugby pitches.
Wine and dine at local Restaurants Like all Mediterranean countries, Malta has plenty of cafes, catering for both locals and tourists. The typical Maltese cafe is a friendly and relaxed place where you can stop for a quick drink or linger over a leisurely meal
Discos. Those seeking the bright lights should head to the small area of St. Julians known as Paceville. Here you will find scores of Discos, pubs and late night bars. In Summer the neon lit streets are crammed with action seekers.
Local Village Festas . Given the Maltese Passion for Festas and pagentry, it is not surprising that almost every parish celebrates the feast day of its local patron saint.
These festivities last several days and consist of colourfull parades accompanied by brass bands and spectacular fireworks displays. The final day of each festa sees the life size statue of the patron saint carried
out of the church and through the village streets.
