Kindly note that you should only use the following rules as a guideline and are for information only.  If In doubt or are used to different rules , you must always ask and apply the rules of the house where ever you are present in a Casino that may vary from the information shown below 

 

How to Play Roulette:

One look at American Roulette  and you're struck by two things. The Game is much faster than French Roulette and its played with colored chips.  The American Roulette system : A maximum of  9 or 10 guests can play simultaneously.  American Roulette is played with colored chips which do not represent a specific value. They come in nine or ten different colors, depending  on the number of players.

  • Transversale PLEINE- 3 numbers on the same line- 11 x the stake
  • Carre- a square of 4 numbers- 8 x the stake
  • Transversale Simple -horizontal group of 6 numbers-5 x the stake
  • Colonne- Column of 12 numbers- 2 x the stake
  • Dozen -first dozen (1- 12) second dozen (13-24) Third dozen (25-36)
SIMPLE CHANCES - 

(DOUBLE UP)

Black or Red- 1 x the stake
ODD or EVEN- 1 x the stake
Numbers 1 to 18- pays 1 x the stake 
Numbers 19 to 36- pays 1 x the stake 

Every player selects his own color, if available, and determines the value of the color, naturally within the limits of the tables set minimum and maximum bets. For Example , if you wanted to play with  20 local currency units-and selected an available color chip, you may ask for the minimum value chip. The Croupier  places a coin (usually called a VALUE CHIP) in a clearly visible place indicating that the Value of the "blue chip" that it  is worth 1 Local Currency unit.. Only you will have the blue chip, preventing any misunderstandings with the Croupier or other players at the table. You may only use this chip on the table you are playing on. Because  everyone is playing with his own color, there is never any doubt as to who has bet what. So you can safely place your chips on top of those of another color. 

The CROUPIER is the person who spins the BULL (that is a white colored hard ball- the size of a large marble) and administrates the table during a game.

After all participants have placed their bets, the croupier will signal for no more bets. At this point the "BULL" (ball) would be spinning . The BULL will stop on the winning number , that is a BLACK/ RED/ ODD or EVEN number between 1 and 35. To clearly mark the winning number, a "marker" will be placed on the winning number on the table. A payout will be effected by the croupier at this time and all other losing chips will be removed for the Casino.

PLEIN- Placing a chip(s) on a single number that is the winning number will pay 35 multiplied by the stake you have paced.
CHEVAL

Eg winning number is number "3"

 BET 2 NUMBERS IN ONE GO

In this case ,placing a Chip on two numbers (see left) will pay 18 x the stake if any of these numbers is the winning number..
TRANSVERSAL 

Example : winning number is number "2"

 BET 3 NUMBERS IN ONE GO

Also known as "transversale pleine" - Placing a chip(s) on 3 numbers will pay 11 x the stake placed if any of these numbers is the winning number.
 

CARRE

Example: winning number is number "0"

 BET 4 NUMBERS IN ONE GO

A chip(s) placed on 4 numbers as shown on the left will pay 8 times the stake if any of these numbers is the winning number.
TRANSVERSAL SIMPLE

Example: Winning number is number 19

 BET 6 NUMBERS IN ONE GO

Placing a Chip on 6 numbers in one go is possible ,as shown on the left. If any of thes numbers are the winning number, then the payout will be 5 times the stake.
COLONNE/ COULMNS

Example winning number is number "28"

 BET ON 12 NUMBERS IN ONE GO

Placing a chip at the 1st column  will cover the column of all 12 numbers and pay 2 times the stake if any of these  numbers is the winning number. (Nos covered in this bet would be  nos 1,4 7,10,13,16,19,22,25,28,31,34)-See table layout above.
DOUZAINE/DOZEN

Example winning number is number "33"

 Placing any chips on the squares maked "1st 12" or as indicated on the left the "3rd 12" numbers will pay 2 x the stake if any of these numbers is the winning numbers. (Numbers covered in this example would be 25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35)
RED BET ON RED: Any red winning number - Payout would double your stake. 
BLACK BET ON BLACK: Any Black winning number- Payout would be 1 x your stake.
ODD BET ON ODD: Any  ODD winning number - Payout would 1 x your stake
EVEN BET ON EVEN: Any  EVEN winning number - Payout would 1 x your stake
Numbers 1- 18 BET ON NUMBERS 1 to 18 :Any winning number  between the numbers 1 & 18 will pay 1 x  your stake
Numbers 19-35 BET ON NUMBERS 19 to 36 Any  winning number between the numbers 19 & 36  will pay 1 x  your stake

Should you wish to leave the table you may cash in at the table, where the Croupier will pay you in VALUE CHIPS, that may be exchanged for cash at the Cash desk or exchanged again at any other table.
