An ornate classical mansion on Dragonara Point, St.Julians built in the 1830`s forms the elegant setting for the islands original Casino. Just recently, after major refurbishment, the casino was re-opened in May 1999 to operate 24 hours a day.

Maltese have an obsession with gambling and , when they are not in the Casino
they will be trying their luck at a bingo party or buying tickets from one of
the islands lottery offices.
