Description: The property is a traditional 200 year old rustically converted Maltese farmhouse, retaining all of its original features and charm. The property is more of a converted farmhouse than a villa and although it has won an award, one must not consider it to be a super luxury but a lovelly relaxing private holiday home with a rustic look and feel to it all round. The house is set in 1 acre of mature private garden (adjoining the owners property), with a large swimming pool and patios on both sides of the house. The house is situated in a central part of the island of Malta yet the seafront is only 10 to 15 minute drive. Malta, is the largest island of the Maltese archipelago. Adjoining the house on one side is open country side and on the other side when exiting the private road of the property is the village and all amenities. Thus the property benefits from being isolated whilst at the same time being close to all shopping centres of Sliema and the fishing village of St Julians known in Maltese as "San Gillian" which has many renowned restaurants. Apart from the almost year round sun and beautiful seas, Malta boasts one of the most fascinating histories in the world, dating back to the Neolithic times, of which several Neolithic temples remain. This long and colourful history have helped to blend a people, proud yet warm and friendly. The local language is Maltese, a hybrid of European and Arabic which reflects the vibrant culture of the islands. English and Italian are also widely spoken. The entrance leads into a large, very spacious, brightly lit open plan sitting/dinning area, which can seat up to nine. The sitting area is comfortably laid out, equipped with sofa's, arm chair, portable CD player and a variety of board games, (a T.V can be provided on request if available). This room leads directly to the pool terrace through south facing French windows. Further eating areas are provided on both the front and the pool terrace Also provided are sun beds, umbrellas, chairs, side tables etc.. (However pool and beach towels are not provided). The kitchen is fully equipped with all the normal household appliances, fridge/freezer, gas cooker, washing machine, coffee machine, microwave, food processor, toaster, kettle, cutlery and crockery for both indoor and outdoor.
