Description: This private owned holiday villa in Malta is a terraced, old village house of great character and charm set in the heart of the quaint hilltop village of Naxxar a stroll away from the pretty village square with its magnificent Church and its shops, bars and food outlets including a supermarket. Palazzo Parisio – the local manor house which is open to the public - is also a short walk away. Naxxar village is only 5km from the sea and 20 minutes drive to the Golf course. Originally a typical farmhouse of some antiquity, it has been tastefully converted to modern standards retaining many original features. The large garden has been landscaped to include a secure gated pool with spacious deck areas and terraces for sunbathing surrounded by bougainvilla, oleander and eucalyptus trees. For a family holiday in malta , renting a holiday villa with its own private pool is most ideal and cheaper than hotel accommodation especially when booking a self catering holiday. Self catering means you cater for yourselves when dining in or dining out. Do your own shopping according to your own budget whether you cook for yourselves or decide to eat out at a local restaurant. The Ground floor comprises a hall , a cloakroom closet, a large fully equipped kitchen with an adjoining breakfast room leading to a small shaded patio, a spacious dining room and sitting area with wrought iron French doors leading to the garden and pool. There is also a charming arched lounge with many old farmhouse features. There is a blend of old and new furnishing throughout the property.
The breakfast room has a large ceiling fan while air conditioning in the kitchen is available as an optional extra payable locally. The First floor has an independent master bedroom suite with dressing room and ensuite bathroom with shower and washing machine. It has its own sun terrace leading off the bedroom overlooking the garden and pool. There are three further bedrooms and another bathroom with shower. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. Air conditioning is also available in all bedrooms as an optional extra payable locally. Three of the bedrooms have ensuite wash hand basins. There is weekly linen and maid service, weekly pool cleaning and twice weekly gardener in the summer. SPECIAL HOUSE RULES APPLICABLE FOR GUESTS We hope you will have enjoyable stay in this house. In everybody’s interests we would welcome your cooperation over the following matters. SAFETY AND HYGENE Please ensure that children are always accompanied by an adult in the enclosed swimming pool area. The gates to the pool area should be kept closed and bolted to prevent entry by unaccompanied children. Do not let young children wander alone in the garden and pool area. The swimming pool is only 7 feet deep at the deep end. NO DIVING. Care should be taken. Please use the shower located in the garden and remove sun tan lotions before using the pool. Excess oils can cause damage to the pool filtration system which keeps the pool clean. Not more than 8 persons should make use the pool. Please abide with the Housekeeper’s instructions regarding garbage disposal For safety reasons the roof terraces are out of bounds. Accomodation is strictly restricted to the number of persons booked and should never exceed a maximum of 8 persons. Please note that the garage/store room and the rear garden ( Secret Garden ) are not included in the rental. No dogs or other pets are allowed in the house. You are politely requested NOT TO SMOKE in the house. Indoor furniture and soft furnishings should not be used outside in the garden or near the pool. They can get damaged and soiled by the sun ,water and night dew.. Please use the sun loungers and garden furniture provided. Sunshade umbrellas should be closed at night and especially on very windy days. Please turn off the electric lights - including those in the garden - and all electric fans when you go out ( since the motor can burn out ). Always ensure the electric cooker is turned off before you go out The towels provided are for house use only. We do not provide beach towels. Please note that regrettably, we will be compelled to charge for damages caused during your stay. It is important that you allow the following persons access to the house and garden: The Houskeeper - ROSE Rose prepares the house for your arrival and provides linen for the number of persons in the booking. She also provides a weekly cleaning and linen change service for those staying more than one week. Additional cleaning/maid service and babysitting can be provided by private arrangement with her. The Gardener / Handy man – BERTU (contact through Rose) Bertu generally looks after the garden which he needs to water at least twice weekly The Pool Maintenance man - JOHN (contact through Rose) John will need to clean and maintain the swimming pool twice weekly. He may advise you not to use the pool immediately after cleaning chemicals have been used. The Electrician / Plumber – JOEY (contact through Rose). Arriving and Departing Departing guests are requested to vacate the house by 10am. Arriving guests may enter after 3pm This way we have 4 hours to clean and prepare the house for the next guests It is customary for any left over food items at the end of your holiday to be left to the housekeeper. Gratuities for any special services provided by the Housekeeper are optional.
