Budget holiday accomodation: For the basic requirements necessary for self catering accommodation , these apartments offer a cheap alternative to the more expensive hotels on the island that will surely fail to harm your budget! The area is in the quiter part of the resort of Mellieha, however getting to the village center is only 5 minutes drive away. Maltas best sandy beaches are located in this area and so you will have the opportunity to spend the day at the beach rather than at the apartment. Malta has for many years been a favourite Mediterranean destination for its great weather conditions as well as its rich historic background. We are sure that you will enjoy this unique mixture of attractions and lifestyle which is becoming rare to find. Should you decide to stay at one of these apartments, you will be also conveniently close to the Gozo Channel line car ferry service to Gozo Island, which is a worthwhile visit. Ferry trips go every 30 minutes during daytime and every 1 to 2 hours in the night-time. Whilst in Malta, we recommend you rent a car, although not entirely necessary, however you will enjoy the island better being free to get around. Whilst Public Transport is cheap and fun to experience, you will find it to be not as convenient as you may think, having to go to Valletta every time and redirecting yourself from there to another location. All busses radiate to and from Valletta ( Malta's Capital City). | Kitchen | Living | Dining | | | | | Equipped Kitchen for self catering with utensils, cooker, fridge freezer, wash basin. | living area combined with kitchen area

Position: Impressively located on a high ridge facing N and overlooking the wide bay below. Ramla and Paradise Bays branch right and left at the tip of Malta some 2½ miles further on, both looking across to Comino and Gozo beyond.
General Description: An attractive hilltop village with a central street winding downhill. The development of modern shops, cafés and hotels in this busy main street has unfortunately shattered the town's picturesque slumber. A large church stands at the highest point, and the views down over the bay are spectacular. Paradise Bay and Ramla Bay are quiet locations. Both are small, pretty bays with tiny sandy beaches and each is dominated by a large modern hotel with little else in the vicinity, although Paradise Bay is near the busy terminal for the Gozo ferry service.
Market/Suitability: Middlemarket; adults (Mellieha), families (Paradise Bay), those wanting water sports (Ramla Bay).
Beaches: Ramla Bay and Paradise Bay have their own small sandy beaches, and Malta's largest beach, Mellieha Bay (1 mile from village), is long and narrow with dull greyish sand but clean shallow water ideal for small children. There are water sports facilities and numerous beach bars. The main road runs alongside and at weekends it is likely to be crowded.
Shopping: Quite a good range of day-to-day goods and tourist souvenirs in Mellieha. Paradise Bay and Ramla Bay have no shops at all.
Entertainments: Daytime: country walks; water sports. Nightlife: Restaurants, coffe shops, local bars, beach club and the hotels.
Eating out: Good variety of restaurants of all types in the village and down in the bay. Paradise and Ramla Bays have no restaurants outside the hotels. Scuba Diving -Scuba diving equipment , Dive with a Scuba diving expert during your stay.
