Description: Apartment in Malta Marsaxlokk with 2 bedrooms offers accommodation in Malta at a low cost for weekly stays. The apartment is located just up the road and a stone throw away from the Marsaxlokk market stalls, affordable restaurants and coffee shops. The apartment has its own private entrance, and from a small flight of steps you enter the main hall of the apartment which has a living area with sofa/ armchairs etc. A wide hallway leads to 2 double bedrooms (one with bathroom ensuite) another full bathroom with bath, wc and washbasin. Further down the hallway is a small living area that leads directly on to a terrace which has some lovely country and sea views. The apartment overall is quite spacious and airy, especially in the kitchen and living area where you have a large window spanning the width of the kitchen so as to enjoy the views both internally and externally from the terrace. Getting around from the apartment is easy,...all basic amenties are within walking distance as well as a choice of dining at a restaurant.
CAR HIRE: Having a rental car in malta will facilitate exploring and getting around the island more effectively making it a much more enjoyable stay, although it is possible with some small restrictions to take the public busses or taxis. You can rent a car through our suppliers by filling out the relevant form on the car you would like to rent in Malta. The car can be delivered to the apartment as we will have to arrange an airport transfer on arrival for you

Marsaxlokk Village is one
of Maltas largest natural harbours. It is theoretically one of the best places
to see the colorful, and
traditional
Maltese fishing boats, the Luzzus, with the mythical eye painted on their prows.
The village is the Islands' main fishing harbour; its Sunday fish market a
fascinating insight into local life and a traditional market industry. The
stalls brim with the night's catch - fish of all shapes, colours and sizes. The
village of Marsaxlokk being
a fishing village has itself has some excellent fish restaurants.
The Village name "Marsaxlokk"
derives its name from the Arabic word marsa, which means harbour, and Maltese
for the south-easterly Mediterranean wind, the Xlokk. The Village of
Marsaxlokk, Malta with its
sheltered habour, was an easy landing place for pirates and the Ottoman Turks.
It was here that the Ottoman Turks landed for an attack which ended in the Great
Siege of 1565. Napoleon's army landed here in 1798; and in recent times, the
harbour was the scene of the Bush-Gorbachev Summit,1989. The headland to the
left of the Bay is Delimara Point. It has two attractive, secluded rocky inlets
suitable for swimming: Peter's Pool; and the furthermost part of the headland.
Fort Delimara, on the west of the peninsula, was built by the British in 1881 to
guard the entrance to Marsaxlokk Bay.
