Gozo Farmhouse - Holiday Home Rentals

This is a Private Property offering Self catering accommodations on Gozo Island, a popular but still very much undiscovered gem of an Island on the Mediterranean sea. The 2 bedroom house of character was converted from an old farmhouse and has the traditional charm of farmland building ....converted into a wonderful holiday home. Great care has been taken to restore the houses using the same skills of the Gozitan ancestors who once lived there. The mellow limestone walls and flagstone floors are complemented and further enchanted with antique furniture , stone arches and wooden beams. For those seeking to get away from it all and enjoy some real Goninan peace and quiet, this home is an ideal getaway home.

The farmhouse has a bathroom ensuite for all bedrooms , a kitchen/dining room and a sitting /living room with live fireplace used only for the winter months, Cable TV is available- with local channels- for satellite reception please contact us, as this can easily be connected at a nominal fee. There is a courtyard , pool, sun terrace and BBQ area , sun beds and umbrellas. Fans are available in each room. Linen/ towels are provided but you may bring your own if you prefer. All Linen provided is cleaned and of a high standard. Water and electricity are included

Nearby is a lovely red sandy beach, known as and called "Ramla il Hamra" indicated on malta maps as Ramla Bay, this beach is only 10 minutes away and well worth spending a day there. Getting there very early in the morning and leaving at sundown is a most pleasant experience...and being so close you have nothing to loos. You may walk down to the beach but walking back up may be tiring in the hot maltese summer sun. Ramla Beach is Maltas only beach with real sand dunes- the finest sand on the Maltese Islands is at Ramla on Gozo

TRANSFER ON ARRIVAL - to the property . In order to deliver the property keys at different times of the day or night, depending on your arrival time in Malta or Gozo we will arrange your transfer to Gozo on arrival thus locating the property without delay. To do this we will require your flight details - i.e your flight number and time of arrival in Malta. Meeting point is iether at the Malta International Airport just outside customs or the Gozo Heliport.

From Malta there is a choice of iether taking the helicopter to Gozo (when available) - travel time 10 to 15 mins from malta airport) or the ferry (2 hours Travel time from malta airport) where you sail past the glorious blue lagoon- The ferry goes every 30 minutes and even during the night in the summer time. Both the ferry and the helicopter are a very enjoyable part of your holiday experience on the maltese Islands

Departure : Unless arranged with us, your departure back to the Airport can be arranged with the same driver you came with on arrrival; please do inform the driver of your intended time of departure.. Remember Standard check out time from the property is before 11:30AM in the morning. Please PAY the Driver locally Direct for any transport you may require.

How to Get to Gozo Island

DIRECT TRANSPORT TO THE PROPERTY CAN BE ARRANGED DIRECT FROM MALTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OR THE HELIPORT IN GOZO In case of difficulty we can book your helicopter transfer tickets from here and send them to you by post or pick them up from the Air Malta sales desk at the Malta International Airport.

To get to Gozo you take a 30 minute ferry trip from Malta's northernmost tip, during which you sail past Comino with its glorious Blue Lagoon, just visible through a narrow entrance in the rock coastline. Alternatively you can take the Helicopter Transfer service from Malta International Airport, a trip which normally takes 10 to 15 minutes.
