| Area Description: | Nadur has grown so fast in recent times that it is considered Gozo's second town. The baroque Parish Church dominates Nadur's skyline and is believed to be one of Gozo's best baroque architectural masterpieces. Nadur lies on the hills above a fertile valley, once the hunting grounds of Grand Master Wignacourt but now the fruit growing district of the Island. The Parish Church of Nadur ,dedicated to St Peter and St Paul was designed in 1766 . The facade and dome make it one the most grand and monumental of Gozo's churches. The village is renowned for its Carnival, which unlike the more festive occasions in other locations takes on a sombre and dark mood because of the macabre costumes. Nadur Carnival is a unique experience. It is so unique for the spontaneity and creativity of all those taking part. Nadur also includes the coastal area of San Blas, and Dahlet Qorrot - both are small coves perfect for snorkelling. Some of the ledges and small caves at Dahlet Qorrot have been converted into boat houses and summer retreats for local people. From Nadur you can also reach Gozo's largest and prettiest sandy bay, Ir-Ramla. The craggy heights of Nadur were an excellent viewpoint to spot any marauding armies or pirate raiders. The name Nadur means `look out' in Maltese, but the landmark Kenuna Tower was not built for defensive reasons - it was a telegraph link between Gozo and Malta. The village has a Maritime Museum with a lot of naval artifacts collected from the old Nadur trade of seafaring. Visiting the Nadur Carnival is a must if you visit during the first quarter of the year. |

| Transfers to the property in Gozo |
When
organized through us, a transfer to the property can be arranged direct
from the Airport in Malta, in
full co-ordination with your flight arrival time information. It is important
to let us know your arrival flight no. and time of arrival not later
than 2 weeks prior to arrival date (except for last minute bookings), so that your
flight can be monitored locally in case of delays. Keys of the property
in this case will be with the driver or caretaker. When meeting the driver you may be
asked to provide your passport / identification
as per your booking and payment details. The Gozo Channel ferry service
usually goes every 30 mins to every hour to and from Gozo.
Tickets for the ferry are cheap and passengers are obliged to pay on
entry. Driver will guide to you for paying for the ferry tickets.
NB When
opting to drive to the property unassisted there will be a separate
charge for delivery of keys at the airport in Malta and is payable locally or in advance. The cost of charges for
key delivery will depend on the time of day and location of meeting
point. If you get lost or cannot locate the property, we can provide you
with a Taxi service provider who can assist you to locate the property
if available at the time. Whilst deciding to drive yourselves to the
property, we cannot be held responsible for any delays or further costs
incurred due to failure in locating the property.
Check in to
the Property is usually between 13:00 and 14:00 in the afternoon to allow for
cleaning of the property to be completed. For difficult or late night
arrival/departure times please inform us to consult

strictly between 10 am 11:00 am in the morning as cleaning will be
