This beautiful Farmhouse is located in the countryside and is only around a 20 minute drive from the Gozo ferry terminal. This self-catering farmhouse has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 showers & a large kitchen that leads onto a spacious sitting room with a Plasma TV screen. A large roof terrace offers extensive views of Gozo's countryside and the deep blue Mediterranean sea. Outside, guests may enjoy the perfectly placed flower beds surrounding a large swimming pool with its own Jacuzzi. A neatly tiled area is cleverly fenced off for relaxing, eating and drinking. A built in BBQ and all the extra toys for the swimming pool, lounge beds and chairs are provided too. Everywhere one looks, you can be sure to absorb the stunning views of fields, trees and birds. Just a five minute drive or half an hour on foot from the farmhouse one can visit Gozo's famous inland sea and the magnificent and farmhouse Azure window which are two of Gozo's most impressive sites. | Area Description: | Gharb means West and this typical old Gozitan village unsurprisingly lies in the West of the Island. It started life as a small hamlet centuries ago. You can see its ancient roots in the centre of the village where some houses have fine example of decorated stone balconies. Gharb was created a parish in 1679, a move which gave impetus for the building of a new, baroque parish church. Built between 1699 and 1729, it has an elegant facade which has been compared with Borromini's S. Agnese in Piazza Navona, Rome. This version is naturally a simpler interpretation of the style. The village square, so quintessentially Gozitan, has become the view on many a postcard. On the square is a fascinating folklore museum housing all sorts of memorabilia retelling the Islands' rural history. Gharb lies in some of Gozo's most delightful countryside, particularly at Dbiegi, the highest hill on the Island. Also at Dbiegi is a centre for Gozitan crafts. Within the limits of Gharb is the quaint Chapel of San Dimitri. According to legend, the first chapel was built on the cliff side by a woman whose son was freed from captivity by St. Demetrius. Also nearby is the Basilica ta' Pinu, Malta's pre-eminent shrine to the Virgin Mary. It was on this spot in 1883 that a local woman heard the voice of the Virgin. Just off Gharb one can make his way to see the stunning view at the Azure Window. |

| Transfers to the property in Gozo |
When
organized through us, a transfer to the property can be arranged direct
from the Airport in Malta, in
full co-ordination with your flight arrival time information. It is important
to let us know your arrival flight no. and time of arrival not later
than 2 weeks prior to arrival date (except for last minute bookings), so that your
flight can be monitored locally in case of delays. Keys of the property
in this case will be with the driver or caretaker. When meeting the driver you may be
asked to provide your passport / identification
as per your booking and payment details. The Gozo Channel ferry service
usually goes every 30 mins to every hour to and from Gozo.
Tickets for the ferry are cheap and passengers are obliged to pay on
entry. Driver will guide to you for paying for the ferry tickets.
NB When
opting to drive to the property unassisted there will be a separate
charge for delivery of keys at the airport in Malta and is payable locally or in advance. The cost of charges for
key delivery will depend on the time of day and location of meeting
point. If you get lost or cannot locate the property, we can provide you
with a Taxi service provider who can assist you to locate the property
if available at the time. Whilst deciding to drive yourselves to the
property, we cannot be held responsible for any delays or further costs
incurred due to failure in locating the property.
Check in to
the Property is usually between 13:00 and 14:00 in the afternoon to allow for
cleaning of the property to be completed. For difficult or late night
arrival/departure times please inform us to consult
