This special programme is available for adults of all ages and children over 8 years of age, as long as they are good confident swimmers. The Swimming with Dolphins Emotions programme is definately the highlight of a visit to the Marine Park, accompanied by a professional trainer/s, small groups of guests will enter into the pool and will interact with the dolphin to experience the natural behavior of these beautiful and intelligent marine mammals. This is truly a unique 30 minute experience with dolphins and one which you will surely never forget. Photographs are taken during the swim either by the watchers/spectators or by a photographer engaged by the park which guests may purchase after the swim from the gift shop. Entrance Tickets to the Marine Park start as low as EUR 11.00 for children and EUR 16.00 for adults, which give the guest acces to all the shows at the park which take place at different times during the day. We recommend that you make a day out of it and spend the day there to fully appreciate what Malta's best theme park has to offer. You can get to the Marine Park by public transport buses that stop directly in front of the Park, which is situated exactly next door to the Splash & Fun Slide Park. The Marine Park also offers other activities such as dry interactive programmes with dolphins, sea lions, retiles, parrots, coatis, bird and turtle feeding as well as daily shows which offer an educational insight to learn how dolphins, sea lions and parrots are trained and how the same methods can be applied to your pets at home. For children below 8 years of age, who wish to experience the swim with dolphins but cannot due to the age restrictions, we recommend the dry encounter with dolphins which is also a lovely experience, howevr children also have an age restriction and must be at least 6 years old to participate in this programme.
Other attractions at the park include, makaw parrots, snakes, tortoises, water turtles, lizards, iguanas, a python, a king snake, a bearded dragon, a tegu, chamaleos, a blue tongue skink and the recently introduced coati. The grounds at the park provide ample parking and include a coffee shop, restaurant, souvenir shop and children's amusements facilities. This is one of the best places for kids and their parents to enjoy in Malta and should be on your things to do list when visiting the Islands.
